Orange Zest White Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

4 1/2 cups all purpose flour

2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup of butter, softened

1 cup sugar

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 teaspoons orange extract

4 tablespoons orange zest

2 cups white chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and creamy.

Add in the eggs, vanilla, orange extract and orange zest until smooth.

In large bowl (on top of your creamed mixture) add flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir the salt and baking soda slightly into the flour. Now mix the flour mix into the creamed ingredients in the bowl. Take care to NOT over mix. Fold in the white chocolate chips.

Dough shouldn’t look too wet. I always say if the dough looks “sweaty” or too “shiny” you should add a little more flour.

Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown around the edges, be careful to not to overbake. The cookies should be rounded and full, not flat. If your cookies are flat you can add more flour to your dough.
